Two red boxing gloves rest at the center of a big round decal on the floor at the Rocky Club, its logo symbolizing the club's colorful history hosting bouts in a city steeped in boxing lore. This winter afternoon Lawrence-born Dave Bradstreet, 68, tends bar at the social club, affectionately known as "The Rocky."
The large room here at 11 Trinity St. is spread with tables and chairs, a long antique shuffleboard table against the back wall, and space at the far end reserved for darts. Right now, Bradstreet's only customers are three guys at the bar in winter jackets hunched over Budweiser bottles until neighborhood regular Archie Sararo, 70, arrives.
