Hottytoddy.com ventured into Fat Eddie’s (the former Lamar Lounge) this week to see all the new things they had to offer. Located on North Lamar Blvd., just a minute or so from the Square, we found what could easily be called the best Italian food offered in town. Logan Little, manager of Fat Eddie’s, and Chef Rusty Anderson greeted us at the door and insisted we try a little bit of everything on their “old-school” Italian menu.
According to Fat Eddie’s website, “Fat Eddie’s Lamar Lounge offers up old-school Italian favorites in a memorable setting. The centerpiece is a lovingly restored 14 seat 1800’s Brunswick bar, which was once owned by legendary actor Eddie Fisher. Originally built by and for Fat Possum Records, Lamar Lounge hosted live music and cooked up whole hog barbecue until Fall 2016.
