The 2013 Columbus Day Parade will begin at 11 a.m. on Oct. 12 in downtown Mount Clemens. State Rep. Anthony Forlini has been selected as the parade marshal. Forlini is the state representative for District 24, which covers Harrison Township and portions of Clinton and Macomb townships.
Forlini has served as board member of the Macomb Chamber of Commerce, and was a senior vice president of the Italian American Cultural Center. Part mainland Italian and part Sicilian, his father hailed from Pignataro Interamna in the Lazio region, and his mother's family emigrated from Buseto Palizzolo in Sicily near Trapani.
