Trecento imprese distribuite in 284 stand su una superficie di quasi 8.000 metri quadrati, un premio che per la prima volta viene assegnato negli Usa e un numero record di visitatori: sono le cifre del Padiglione Italia al Summer Fancy Food Show 2017, la più grande fiera del Nord America dedicata alle specialità food&beverage che si è conclusa il 27 giugno a New York.
"Quando si parla di autenticità del cibo non si può non pensare all'Italia", ha detto Philip M. Kafarakis, presidente della Specialty Food Association, l'ente organizzatore della manifestazione. "Oggi c'è sempre più interesse verso l'autenticità: da dove arriva un prodotto, com'è stato preparato. C'è una rivoluzione in corso, che premia il biologico, la genuinità, la tracciabilità.
