The Maggiore Group is bringing a little bit of la dolce vita to Phoenix with a new Italian bakery called The Sicilian Baker, opening at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 20. To celebrate on opening day, The Scilian Baker will offer a free classic-size cannoli to the first 100 customers who say "holy cannoli" at the counter. The business also will give out free mini cannolis all day while supplies last that day.
The bakery and market is inspired by an Italian pasticceria and will offer cannoli, house-made pastries, fresh pasta and sauces. Located at Tatum Boulevard and Greenway Road, the sweet shop and market comes from Maggiore Group co-founder and executive chef Joey Maggiore.
