Toscana Fest rescheduled for next weekend due to rain

Rain damped plans for the sixth annual Tuscana Fest Sunday, which has been rescheduled for Saturday, Oct. 14. Despite the dreary weather, small tastings were offered indoors. Samples of aged cheese, freshly baked breads, and other Italian foods replaced the homemade Italian pastries for the outdoor event and a guest appearance was made by 1967 Boston Red Sox “Impossible Dream” team member and All-Star Shortstop Rico Petrocelli.

"All of the details of the event are the same, just a date change," said Erica Canales, general manager of Tuscan Kitchen. "We're hoping for drier weather next weekend." Tuscana Fest started just after local entrepreneur Joe Faro opened the restaurant and market opened in 2010. The market offers an assortment of specialty sauces, oils, pasta, baked breads and more.
