The St Louis - Bologna Sister Cities Organization invites you to its very first CHRISTMAS CONCERT (Concerto di Natale) on Saturday, December 1st at 7PM starring Benedetta Orsi, a native of Bologna, and many more famed international musicians. A special thanks goes out to Grace UMC Church for so generously offering their space. The church is a magnificent space and is located at 6199 Waterman Blvd, just a block from Washington University. It holds over 500 people and a sold out crowd is expected.
This will be the very first time the Italian Community of St Louis has organized a Christmas concert of this calibre in St Louis. Proceeds from ticket sales will help support Italian Medical Foundation FANEP ONLUS in Bologna. Along with purchase of ticket, you will receive a copy of Benedetta Orsi's CD "Christmas around the World".
Benedetta Orsi will be joined by Greek soprano Stella Markou and Russian pianist Alla Voskoboynikova. Musical excerpts will be taken from: Lakmè, Les Contes D'Hoffman, Così fan tutte, Samson et Dalila and much more. After the intermission, the artists will perform classical Christmas and holiday songs. A free reception will follow where you will be able to interact with the artists.
The St Louis - Bologna Sister Cities Organization would like to thank Mr. Nunzio Sardo with Piva Group SpA and Mr. Giorgio Bucci with Arteco Global who both have given the Sister Cities Organization a generous donation for this event. A special thanks also goes to the World Trade Center - St Louis and the St Louis Economic Development Partnership who have given the organization another generous donation.
