The Italian American Association of Monmouth County has awarded five scholarships to senior high school students of Italian descent in Monmouth County. Each scholarship is valued at $500, according to a press release. One scholarship that is awarded is the IAA Frank Muzzicato Memorial Scholarship, which was established through the organization by Muzzicato’s wife, Donna, in his memory. Frank Muzzicato was an IAA member, according to the press release.
This year’s scholarship recipients were Amanda Martin, Taylor Adams, Andrew Monteperto, Giancarlo Anzelone and Jordan Cerio. Martin lives in Manalapan and attended Manalapan High School. Anzalone lives in Manalapan and attended Freehold Township High School. Adams lives in Union Beach and attended Red Bank Regional High School. Monteperto lives in Aberdeen Township and attended Matawan Regional High School. Cerio lives in Freehold and attended Freehold High School.
