Jersey City native, former congressman and philanthropist Frank Guarini has donated $20 million to the New York University School of Law to create a global legal studies program, the school announced. The longtime supporter of the law school has previously funded the Frank J. Guarini Center for Environmental and Land Use Law, the Frank J. Guarini Leaders in Government Service Institute and the Guarini Government Lecture.
The new Guarini Institute for Global Legal Studies will provide a platform for in-depth, interdisciplinary study of transnational legal and regulatory issues, as well as the technology-driven transformation of legal services and global legal practice.
