One of the Twin Cities’ popular Italian restaurants has hit the refresh button. Campiello Ristorante and Bar in Eden Prairie (6411 City West Parkway, Eden Prairie; 952-941-6868; campielloedenprairie.com) recently went through a major renovation. The 20-year-old restaurant has been given an update from the furniture to the fixtures in the dining room and bar areas. In addition, there’s a new pasta bar — a curved counter seating area that allows diners to watch the action in the open kitchen — as well as a 12-tap draft beer system.
The restaurant’s Tuscan country-themed menu has also been given an overhaul. The lunch, dinner, cocktail and happy hour menus featuring pizza out of a wood-burning oven, pasta, roasted meats and seafood include new dishes such as lamb bolognese, shrimp with squid-ink pasta, porcini rubbed pork ribeye and a gluten-free pizza option.
