Bella's Pizzeria in Windber has moved from its former location in the Randy's BiLo plaza to the Windber Coal Heritage Center. Bella's will serve all of the same Italian dishes plus many new American ones. Co-owner Carmen Saucedo said her restaurant is having a grand opening Saturday to coincide with the Miners' Memorial Day Weekend.
In honor of the miners who built Windber and the former miners museum at the center, building owner Barry Jerley kept many of the exhibits that were left over from when the museum closed four years ago. The basement even has the old coal cart and videos from the museum. Saucedo said it will be open for customers to experience again.
