Anthony Mancinelli started working as a barber in 1922 at the age of 11. Back then, Babe Ruth was swatting homers for the Yankees, Jack Dempsey was the World Heavyweight Boxing Champion and Prohibition was just getting under way.
Ninety-six years later, Mancinelli still drives and works full time at a Windsor, N.Y. barber shop. The centenarian is in the Guinness Book of World Records as the oldest barber in the world. He says the secret to longevity is simple: don’t retire.
