Maldonians were dancing in the streets upon hearing news that the St. Rocco Society of Malden has announced the date of their 89th Anniversary St. Rocco Banquet. Joy could be found from Devir Street in Ward 2 all the way up to Beach Street in the Linden section, as families make plans to attend the annual dinner fundraiser, again being held at Anthony’s on Canal Street — this year on April 28.
For a mere $55 per person donation you can dance to Malden guy Steve Savio’s fab band Sea Breeze, who deftly mix classic Italian favorites along with choice cuts from the Great American Songbook — wonderfully I might add. You want cold hors d’oeuvres? We got ’em! You crave fruit and cheese? We got all you can eat! Ravioli with red sauce? Check! Baked stuffed haddock? Check! Chicken Marsala? Check! Homemade goodies and a sweets table, along with cappuccino or espresso?
